Responsibilities for Stack and Thermofluidic Engineer Jobs in UK with Visa:
You will do the following as a stack and thermofluidic engineer:
- Create and refine thermofluid systems for stacks of alkaline electrolysers with many cells.
- Create effective electrolyte circulation systems to ensure uniform flow distribution.
- For working temperatures between 80°C and 100°C, develop thermal control strategies.
- Pressure balancing between hydrogen and oxygen systems should be modeled and verified.
- Pumps, heat exchangers, separators, valves, and pipes are examples of Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.
- Compute the mass and energy balance in detail.
- For applications involving potassium hydroxide (KOH) at high temperatures, choose appropriate materials.
- Prototype systems are commissioned, tested, troubleshooted, and improved.
- Take part in pressure system compliance initiatives and HAZOP research.

Required Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and two-phase flow.
- Experience preparing P&IDs, mass balances, and equipment specifications.
- Understanding of gas-liquid separation and industrial thermal management.
- Knowledge of materials suitable for aggressive chemical environments.
- Practical experience commissioning and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
- Confidence working safely with pressurized process systems.
Preferred Skills:
Candidates with the following qualifications will be highly competitive:
- knowledge of chlor-alkali technologies or alkaline water electrolyzers.
- familiarity with bipolar or multi-cell stack designs.
- Experience designing cooling systems and choosing heat exchangers.
- experience in the petrochemical, energy, or chemical processing sectors.
- CFD or process simulation programs like Aspen Plus, COMSOL, or ANSYS.
- knowledge of ATEX, DSEAR, PED, PSSR, or EN 13445 rules.
- familiarity with PFA, PVDF, or PP piping systems.
- Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
